THE ROLE OF LITERACY EDUCATION IN BUILDING THE ECONOMIC INDEPENDENCE OF THE BAHITOM VILLAGE COMMUNITY, CENTRAL KALIMANTAN

Literacy education plays a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life, particularly in rural areas that still face challenges in accessing formal education. Literacy is not limited to the ability to read, write, and perform arithmetic but also encompasses the skills to comprehend information and apply it in daily life situations. Bahitom Village, as a rural area, faces numerous challenges in human resource development. Low literacy levels often hinder the community from leveraging economic opportunities and accessing essential information that could enhance their well-being. Literacy education is believed to provide a solid foundation for building economic independence, as literate individuals are better equipped to understand and utilize information for productive activities, such as managing small businesses, agriculture, or other economic ventures. Literacy education programs in rural villages also serve as a means of community empowerment by emphasizing the importance of fundamental skills to enhance participation in socio-economic activities. This study aims to assess the extent to which literacy education contributes to building economic independence in the community of Bahitom Village, Central Kalimantan. It is expected that the findings will offer new insights into the development of community-based literacy programs that are more effective and aligned with local needs. This study was conducted using a qualitative approach and reference-based methods. The choice of these methods was motivated by the focus on research questions closely related to social factors that influence individuals' mindsets, perspectives, attitudes, and behaviors within society. Based on the research findings, literacy education has proven to play a crucial role in fostering the economic independence of the community in Bahitom Village, Central Kalimantan. This program not only enhances basic skills in reading, writing, and arithmetic but also broadens access to information and economic opportunities. With improved literacy, community members are better equipped to manage small businesses, record transactions, and plan economic activities independently.

ENHANCING HUMAN CAPITAL’S PERFORMANCE THROUGH INNOVATIVE TRAINING MANAGEMENT: A CASE STUDY OF AZKIRA REG TRAINING INSTITUTION'S PLASMA MODEL

This paper aims to describe human capital development through education and training programs that facilitatie immediate workplace application of knowledge and skills by their graduates upon completion of the training. In more particular, this paper portray the implementation process of the Plasma model in Azkira Reg's sewing training management. The study employed case study to elaborate the management innovation used in Azkira Reg sewing training and industry. The informal interview, observation, and documents were data collection technique. The results suggests that plasma model:1) was an innovative training management where training and industry interlock to provide graduates room to implement their knowledge and skills in a plasma as their workplace, 2) empower the training graduates upon their training completion by managing plasma, and 3) provided opportunities to continue leaning and grow.

THE ENHANCEMENT OF COGNITIVE ABILITIES IN EARLY CHILDHOOD THROUGH PICTURE CARD GAME

The purpose of this study is to analyse the studentsâ€™ cognitive ability in the terms of reasoning which are relation to numbers and orders, and the application of learning that has not developed yet as what the teachers hope. This research is aimed to see how the early childhood can develop their cognitive ability by using picture card game. The type of this research is classroom action research (CAR) that has been done in three cycles. The subject of this research is early childhood as many as 16 students consisting of 8 male students and also 8 female students that age 4 to 5 years old. The researcher used observation, interview, and questionnaires as the instruments for data collection techniques. Then, the researcher analysed the data using qualitative method and it was also completed with quantitative analysis called as descriptive statistical analysis through percentage count. The finding of this research is there is a significant development of childrenâ€™s cognitive ability in the terms of reasoning and numeracy ability. The development of early childhood skill in every cycle becomes an indicator where the result of pre-cycle to the children in development stage is 31, 25%. In the first cycle, it developed into 37, 5%, the second cycle increased into 43, 75%, and for the third cycle it became 56, 25%. The result of those all activities are that the application of picture card game can develop cognitive ability to early childhood. The use of picture card media will be much better if it is implemented with a various variety of game.

IMPROVING SANTRI'S ENTREPRENEURSHIP MOTIVATION THROUGH PROBLEM-BASED LEARNING APPROACH ENTREPRENEURSHIP TRAINING

The purpose of this study is to determine how to improve santri's motivation for entrepreneurship and to examine the impact of entrepreneurship motivation training in salafiah santri using a Problem Based Learning approach. The technique and methods utilized in this study are qualitative with descriptive methods. The research was done in salafiah pesantren in Cimahi City, and the subjects were six santri individuals who had previously attended training or had never attended. Data collecting techniques include observing, interviewing, and documenting. According to the data analysis, there has been a considerable growth in entrepreneurial motivation and interest in starting a business. From the research findings it can be concluded that conducting entrepreneurship training for students will significantly assist them in starting a successful business and increasing their confidence as entrepreneurs.

MULTIMEDIA-BASED TRAINING TO IMPROVE UNDERSTANDING OF ENGLISH FOR SPECIAL WORK EXCHANGE PREPARATION PARTICIPANTS

This study aims to determine the use of multimedia in learning English for students. The use of multimedia should be able to meet the needs of the students and can make the students easier to understand the questions during the selection and preparation of SPECIAL JOB EXCHANGE . This research uses descriptive qualitative research. Data collection techniques used observation, interview, and documentation. The results of this study are (1) Design English language learning by using multimedia created by the teacher aims to help the learning process of students either short term or longterm (2) the implementation of multimedia can be done well. It can be seen from the active learning in the learning activity, (3) the attitude of the students in achieving the acceptance of the learning materials by utilizing the multimedia based on the observation is that the students become more interested and feel happy in learning activities, is active, and enthusiastic, It can be concluded that the use of multimedia in teaching and learning English for the selection of participants Special Job ExchangeÂ goes well because it can make the students to improve motivation so that students become enthusiastic in the process of learning

SCHOOL MANAGEMENT TRAINING FOR SCHOOL PRINCIPLES IN WEST JAVA PROVINCIAL GOVERNMENT

Training is a systematic process of imparting knowledge, skills and behavior to individuals or groups in order to improve their abilities and productivity in work or daily life.Through training activities, employees have a great opportunity to absorb new values that have not existed so far, so that with these new patterns they can improve their profession in carrying out the tasks assigned to them.This article was prepared by utilizing literature study as a writing method. In addition, the authors also confirm the information obtained with data from interviews. The research results show thatThe advantages of e-learning-based training such as those conducted by the West Java BPSDM are the flexibility of time and place for participants, more affordable costs, and the ability to reach participants from various regions or countries. However, the weakness of this training is the limited direct interaction, especially for participants who do not have the same access to technology and the internet.

PARENTAL INVOLVEMENT IN PROVIDING SEX EDUCATION FOR EARLY CHILDHOOD IN PATTINGALLOANG BARU VILLAGE

This research was conducted to understand parents' involvement in providing sex education to early childhood in Pattingalloang Baru Village. The purpose of this study was to identify the methods used by parents in educating children about sex. The method used was a qualitative approach with data collection techniques through interviews, observation, and documentation. The results showed that parents have tried to provide information related to sex to early childhood through several forms of education, such as introducing gender, telling about the sex organs in humans, teaching manners of interpersonal relationships, separating beds between boys and girls, and keeping children's watching from shows that can have a negative impact. The implication of this study is the importance of parental awareness and involvement in sex education in early childhood to form a healthy and positive understanding of sexuality from an early age.

IMPLEMENTATION OF MOTHER TONGUE BASED LITERACY EDUCATION IN IMPROVING LITERACY

Literacy is not just about the ability to read and write, but also about how these activities are related to social, cultural, and power structures in society. Some types of literacy have a stronger influence because they are promoted by powerful institutions. However, in various rural areas, especially in remote areas such as Tumbang Masukih Village, Central Kalimantan, the challenges in increasing literacy are still very large. One of the causes is the existence of language barriers, especially for people who use their mother tongue as their daily language. This research aims to examine how the implementation of mother tongue-based literacy education in Tumbang Masukih Village can increase the literacy level of the community. This research was carried out using a qualitative approach using phenomenological methods. Furthermore, the choice of this method focuses on an intensive study of the process of implementing mother-based literacy education learning, especially regarding learning services and techniques in an effort to empower and increase community literacy. From the results of this research, it can be concluded that mother tongue-based literacy education is very effective in improving literacy among the people of Tumbang Masukih Village. Theoretically, these findings support the arguments put forward by various language education experts who state that learning using their mother tongue allows students to understand basic literacy concepts more easily. The process of internalizing knowledge occurs more quickly when the language used is a language that is familiar to students.
