This study aims to obtain a description of internal motivation of social withdrawal children in the school environment and know emotional and social life of social withdrawal children. The method used in this research is qualitative with case study design. Data collection techniques used are observation, interview, and documentation. The result of case analysis based on this study shows that case I is associated with emotional aspect dysregulation which is specifically related to fear, anxiety, and embarrassment. While case II concerns non-fearful aspects of solitary activities. The result of this study shows that factors that affect social withdrawal in preschoolers are health conditions, parent's personality, and family environment.
