ANALISIS KONTRASTIF YANG BERORIENTASI PADA KESANTUNAN BERBAHASA DALAM PERCAKAPAN MAHASISWA IKIP SILIWANGI

Abstract

The background of this research problem is the interference between the B1 language system (Sundanese) and B2 (Indonesian). This interference causes the disruption of communication and the meaning conveyed cannot be clearly understood, the interference also causes the language used to be impolite. This interference can also be observed from the use of IKIP Siliwangi students' language on social media, for example whats up, Instagram, facebook. Based on the background of the problem, the formulation of this research is: 1) Is there any interference in the conversations of IKIP Siliwangi students ?; 2) Does the interference cause the language used to be impolite ?. The purpose of this study was to determine the existence of language interference in conversations conducted by students and to find out whether interference caused the language used by students to be impolite. The method used in this study is a contrastive analysis method that compares the structure of B1 and B2. The results showed that there was language interference used by students in their conversations which then affected the politeness of the language.
