PENGARUH PENERAPAN METODE BERCERITA TERHADAP KEMAMPUAN LITERASI SISWA KELAS V

The background of this study is the low literacy skills of students and the teachers' suboptimal implementation of various learning methods. The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of the storytelling method on the literacy skills of fifth grade students of SDN 1 Pulosaren. This study uses a quantitative method of Pre-experimental research type with the One Group Pretest Posttest Design model. The subjects of the study were selected by saturated sampling. The sample taken was 30 fifth grade students of SDN 1 Pulosaren. The data collection method used a multiple choice test. The prerequisite analysis test consisted of a normality test. Data analysis used a non-parametric statistical technique, namely the Wilcoxon Test assisted by the IBM Statistic for Windows SPSS 25.0 program. The results of the study showed a Sig value of 0.000 <0.05, so H0 was rejected and Ha was accepted. Based on the hypothesis test, it can be concluded that the storytelling method has a significant effect on the literacy skills of fifth grade students of SDN 1 Plosaren. Furthermore, the storytelling method can be used as an alternative method in the learning process regarding learning methods that can stimulate students' literacy skills.References
