Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of technology-based instructional materials on the reading motivation of junior high school students. Using a quantitative method with a pretest-posttest control group experimental design, the study compared two groups: the experimental group, which was provided with interactive technology-based instructional materials, and the control group, which used conventional instructional materials. The results showed a significant increase in reading motivation in the experimental group compared to the control group. T-test analysis indicated that the change in reading motivation in the experimental group (p = 0.001) was greater than in the control group (p = 0.123). These findings affirm that technology-based instructional materials can significantly enhance the reading motivation of junior high school students, positively impacting their engagement and learning outcomes. Based on these results, the study recommends the integration of technology into education to improve motivation and the quality of learning in schools.
