Abstract

The purpose of this study is to integrate project-based learning with local cultural content into the Writing Course module. The researcher employed a research and development (R&D) method, specifically the ADDIE model (analyze, design, development, implementation, and evaluation), to develop the module. Data were collected from expert validation on content and media, language experts, as well as students’ responses during the product trial. Data analysis was conducted using feasibility criteria tables for content, media, and language as proposed by Riduwan. The results of this study indicate that the Writing Module integrated with local culture through project-based learning was successfully developed using the ADDIE model and was deemed highly feasible for use. The validation results showed a percentage of 92.5% for content and media analysis, 91.4% for language analysis, and 89% from limited student trials. Based on the questionnaire responses, the development of the writing module integrated with local culture had a positive impact. It is expected that educators and parents will more frequently introduce local culture to students and children as an effort to preserve cultural heritage.
