EFEKTIVITAS WORKSHOP MULTILITERASI BERBASIS KEARIFAN LOKAL DALAM MENINGKATKAN KOMPETENSI GURU DI RAJA AMPAT

Raja Ampat faces significant challenges in education, including limited access to resources and professional development. To address this, a multiliteracy workshop based on local wisdom was conducted to improve teachers' skills in integrating multiliteracy and cultural knowledge into teaching. This study evaluates the effectiveness of the workshop in enhancing teacher competencies. A descriptive quantitative survey method was used, gathering data from 50 participating teachers. The results indicate that 85% of the teachers improved their understanding of multiliteracy, while 90% gained skills in incorporating local wisdom into lessons. Teachers also reported higher student engagement as they connected classroom content with cultural contexts. However, some challenges remain, particularly limited access to technology. In conclusion, the workshop successfully enhanced teacher competence in Raja Ampat by integrating multiliteracy and local wisdom. This model could benefit other regions with similar educational challenges. Addressing technology and infrastructure limitations is crucial to ensuring long-term success.References
