EXPLORING PRE-SERVICE TEACHERS' EXPERIENCES WITH DIGITAL MULTIMODAL COMPOSING IN NARRATIVE STORYTELLING

Di abad ke-21, kompetensi digital merupakan persyaratan mendasar untuk pengajaran bahasa, yang mengharuskan integrasi teknologi ke dalam program pelatihan guru. Penelitian ini menyelidiki pengalaman empat guru prajabatan dalam merancang video narasi digital menggunakan kerangka kerja Digital Multimodal Composing (DMC). Dengan menggunakan pendekatan inkuiri naratif, data dikumpulkan melalui catatan harian reflektif dan wawancara semi-terstruktur untuk mengeksplorasi bagaimana para peserta terlibat dalam domain kritis, kreatif, dan teknis komposisi multimodal. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa guru prajabatan pada awalnya menghadapi tantangan dalam mengkonseptualisasikan elemen multimodal, namun secara bertahap mengembangkan kepercayaan diri dalam mengintegrasikan teks, visual, dan audio untuk meningkatkan materi pembelajaran mereka. Mereka secara kritis menganalisis teks multimodal, menyusun pelajaran berbasis narasi untuk keterlibatan yang lebih besar, dan menyempurnakan kemahiran teknis mereka dengan alat bantu digital. Diskusi rekan sejawat dan tutorial online memainkan peran penting dalam membantu mereka menavigasi kompleksitas penulisan multimodal, mendorong pembelajaran kolaboratif, dan penyempurnaan berulang. Studi ini menekankan peran DMC dalam mempersiapkan guru pra-jabatan untuk instruksi yang ditingkatkan dengan teknologi melalui dukungan terstruktur, praktik langsung, dan pelatihan literasi digital. Dengan menggabungkan kreativitas dengan pedagogi, penelitian ini menyoroti pentingnya mengintegrasikan penulisan multimodal ke dalam program pendidikan guru dalam pengajaran bahasa Inggris sebagai bahasa asing.
