THE COMPREHENSION OF REFLECTIVE PRACTICE AMONG EFL PROFESSIONAL TEACHERS IN INDONESIA: A CASE STUDY

Dalam bidang Pengajaran Bahasa Inggris, praktik Reflektif merupakan pendekatan pedagogis yang signifikan untuk pengembangan profesionalisme guru. Namun demikian, ada beberapa sudut pandang yang berbeda dalam mengkonseptualisasikannya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat pemahaman enam Guru EFL Profesional di Jawa Barat, Indonesia. Peneliti menggunakan studi kasus dengan strategi pengumpulan data menggunakan wawancara semi terstruktur, analisis dokumen, dan observasi, yang kemudian dianalisis secara tematis. Menurut temuan, para peserta memandang praktik reflektif sebagai metode evaluasi diri dan introspeksi, yang keduanya secara positif berkontribusi pada pengembangan profesional mereka. Para peserta sangat bergantung pada umpan balik siswa dan pengamatan teman sebaya sebagai teknik utama untuk menerapkan praktik reflektif. Ini mengarah pada gagasan bahwa pemahaman mereka tentang praktik reflektif tidak lengkap atau menyeluruh. Saran diarahkan ke pendidikan tinggi untuk memberikan bantuan dan arahan berkelanjutan kepada guru EFL untuk meningkatkan pemahaman mereka tentang praktik reflektif dengan program bimbingan, kerja sama rekan kerja, dan sesi pelatihan di mana para ahli dalam praktik reflektif membimbing mereka untuk menjadi praktisi reflektif.Kata kunci: EFL, Guru Profesional, Praktek Reflektif, Pemahaman GuruReferensi
