MENGINTEGRASIKAN PENDEKATAN ILMIAH YANG BERPUSAT PADA MALL (MOBILE ASSISTED LANGUAGE LEARNING) DALAM PEMBELAJARAN MENULIS BAHASA INGGRIS

Menulis sering dianggap sebagai keterampilan yang menantang untuk dikuasai. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menyelidiki pengaruh pendekatan ilmiah berbasis Mobile Assisted Language Learning (MALL) dalam meningkatkan kemampuan menulis deskriptif siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian tindakan kelas dengan dua puluh empat siswa kelas sembilan sekolah menengah pertama di Jakarta Barat sebagai partisipan. Penelitian ini dilakukan dalam dua siklus, dengan menggunakan observasi, wawancara, dan serangkaian tes menulis untuk mengumpulkan data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tulisan siswa meningkat sebagai konsekuensi dari penggunaan pendekatan ilmiah berdasarkan MALL. Dengan melibatkan mereka dalam sejumlah praktik di setiap pertemuan, bekerja dengan situs web dan aplikasi, dan mencari umpan balik dari siswa dan guru, MALL cenderung meningkatkan kemampuan menulis siswa. Menerapkan pendekatan ilmiah yang didukung oleh MALL telah menunjukkan potensi dalam membantu siswa meningkatkan ide-ide mereka dalam menulis. Mereka menunjukkan kemampuan mereka untuk membuat paragraf yang panjang dan dilengkapi dengan detail yang relevan. Siswa meningkatkan pembelajaran kosakata mereka dengan menggunakan kamus digital dan menonton video. Umpan balik secara teratur dari teman sebaya dan guru sangat penting dalam membantu siswa memahami pentingnya tanda baca dan keakuratan ejaan dalam pekerjaan tertulis mereka. Oleh karena itu, disarankan untuk melakukan penelitian ilmiah tambahan untuk menguji keefektifan pendekatan ilmiah berdasarkan MALL, yang tidak hanya mencakup keterampilan menulis, tetapi juga mencakup keterampilan membaca, berbicara, atau mendengarkan.Referensi
