MENGGUNAKAN GRAMMARLY UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KUALITAS MENULIS SISWA SMP KELAS 9

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi pengaruh penggunaan Grammarly dalam meningkatkan kualitas tulisan siswa SMP kelas 9. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain pra-eksperimental dan dilaksanakan di salah satu SMP swasta di Sidoarjo dengan memilih populasi dari satu kelas ICO (Orientasi Kelas Internasional) siswa kelas tiga. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah tes menulis esai yang dinilai berdasarkan rubrik penilaian yang mencakup beberapa aspek. Tes ini diberikan dua kali, yaitu sebelum (pretest) dan setelah (posttest) siswa menggunakan Grammarly selama dua minggu. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan Uji Peringkat Wilcoxon untuk mengetahui perbedaan yang signifikan antara hasil pretest dan posttest karena hasil normalitas dalam penelitian ini menunjukkan data tidak normal. Uji Wilcoxon menghasilkan hasil Asymp. Sig dua sisi sebesar 0,000. Karena nilai ini lebih kecil dari 0,05, maka hipotesis penelitian dapat diterima dengan yakin. Sebagai kesimpulan, penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan Grammarly dapat secara efektif meningkatkan kualitas tulisan siswa. Penelitian ini juga memberikan rekomendasi bagi guru dan siswa untuk mempertimbangkan mengintegrasikan teknologi seperti Grammarly dalam pengajaran menulis untuk mencapai hasil belajar yang lebih baik.
