The result of this study revealed that there are four difficulties faced by the students in writing descriptive text such as understanding grammar (50%), limited vocabulary (30%), content (30%), and generating ideas (20%). Thus, it can be concluded that grammar and limited vocabulary were the most prevalent difficulties, followed by challenges in content knowledge and generating ideas.
