About Journal

Infinity Journal is a peer-refereed open-access journal that has been established for the dissemination of state-of-the-art knowledge in the field of mathematics education. This journal is founded in collaboration between the IKIP Siliwangi and Indonesian Mathematics Educators' Society (IMES). Editors will initially review all submitted manuscripts which are then evaluated by a minimum of two International Reviewers through the double-blind review process. This is to ensure the quality of the published manuscripts in the journal.

The Infinity Journal welcomes high-quality manuscripts from a research project in the scope of mathematics education, which includes, but is not limited to the following topics: Mathematics Ability, Realistic Mathematics Education, ICT in Mathematics Education, Design/Development Research in Mathematics Education, and Ethnomathematics. The manuscript must be original research, written in English, and not be simultaneously submitted to another journal or conference.

Since 2016, the journal has been ACCREDITED by the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education, the Republic of Indonesia.

To improve the quality of articles in the Infinity journal, then starting at volume 8 issue 1 (February 2019), templates for Infinity journal articles are adjusted so that until now using a new template. The new template can be obtained on the page (Download here).

Since February 25, 2023, this journal has passed the selection and was declared accepted for indexing by SCOPUS. This shows the achievements of peer-reviewed journals that have superior quality in management and publication.

Finally, since April 2024, Infinity Journal has had an SJR score of 0.26 (Q2) in the Scimago Journal Ranking. This shows the achievements of peer-reviewed journals with superior management and publication quality.

Infinity Journal was first published in 2012. Until now, Infinity Journal has published both mathematics education and mathematics science articles. Since 2012, the editor started to manage Infinity Journal in online and open-access with Open-Access Journal System (OJS).

The editor has determined the number of pages in one volume as many as 200 pages. By the system, we could publish 15-35 articles in one volume (1 year).

2015 is the acceleration of internal management of Infinity Journal. We start to think that index and accreditation are important. In January, we started to apply Infinity Journal into foreign index organization, like Indonesian Publication Index and Google Scholar. We knew the result by the end of 2015.

To escalate our journal level to international standard, since September 2016 (Volume 5 No 2) we had changed the language used in publishing articles into English.

On December 2016, we had achieved our target to be indexed on DOAJ and received our membership in CrossRef so we had DOI registered in Crossref.

In 2017, we will start to process the National Accreditation.

Starting in early 2018, Infinity Journal started cooperation with professional associations: Indonesian Mathematics Educators' Society (IMES).

Starting on July 9, 2018, Infinity Journal has earned the title of "Rank 2" Accredited Journal from the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education of the Republic of Indonesia with Decree No 21 / E / KPT / 2018.

Based on Editorial Team policy, starting with Vol 7 Issue 2 (2018), Infinity Journal applies publication fees.
